The Biblical Counseling Coalition is a website full of resources for those who disciple people through difficult times and is a great resource for people who are hurting as well. The BCC also has a networking of Biblical counselors all over the country so if you are looking for a Biblical counselor in another state, this would be a good place to look.
Our Biblical Soul Care Library at Grace Community Church is located in the hallway next to the auditorium. We encourage everyone to look through the library and to use the books that are there.
Here is how it works:
The brochures and books that you find in the library are available to be taken for a suggested donation of $3 for the brochures and $10 for the books. To make a donation for the book that you need simply look for gray box that is on the wall marked Biblical Soul Care donations. You will find that box next to the bookshelf. Drop your donation in the gray box.
All donations given to the Biblical Soul Care Library are used solely to repurchase and restock more brochures and books.
Faith Biblical Counseling Conference
Each year Faith Church in Lafayette, In. hosts the Faith Biblical Counseling Conference. The conference for 2012 will be February 12-17. This year James McDonald and Ed Welch will be two of the main speakers. For more information about this conference, please visit the website.
This series of classes is essential to anyone who wants to be involved with the Biblical counseling initiatives at Grace Community Church. We strongly recommend that someone attends the Biblical Counseling Conference in order to take this class but for those people who can’t go or for those who want a refresher we have made the entire Track 1 available here. You must have clearance from the Biblical Counseling Staff in order to download the content. Email us with questions.
NANC Certification Process
NANC (National Association of Nouthetic Counselors) offers a training and certification program that we ask all of our biblical counselors at Grace to complete. The NANC certification is a strenuous combination of classroom and lab work in Theology and counseling practices. This certification also requires a 50 hour minimum of evaluated counseling before someone can be certified.
