REPORT: “NO COMPROMISE” MEN’S RETREAT
Nearly 300 men from across Iowa, including eight from Grace, took part in a great time of worship, equipping and encouragement at the Hidden Acres District Men’s Retreat in January. Pastor Brooks served as teacher and Nathan Meyer and other members of our music team led worship.
The men were challenged spiritually in sexual purity to not compromise their holiness or the name of God for mere momentary lust. The challenge to not compromise was presented and applied to many other areas of life as well. Stories after the retreat reveal that men are going home confessing, broken and cleansed by the power of the Word of God. Men stepped out of the darkness into the light and are experiencing forgiveness and freedom. We praise God mightily for this!
There were plenty of fun physical challenges, too – everything from dodge ball tournaments to jousting. Our own Nathan Brechtel was named 2012 Jousting Champ at Hidden Acres!
Pray for continued fruit to come forth, that the men who attended journey forth in not compromising the honor of Christ in their lives.
