Grace Student Ministries (5th-6th, 7th-12th)

Mission

In support to parents in their God-given role of raising their children to love and serve Jesus Christ, our purpose and vision is to bring in, build up, and branch out students who know, show, and grow in God’s grace as they strive to live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission within Biblical community.

5th-6th Grade Ministry – Summer Schedule

Collide Class: During 2nd service in the Annex (9:30-10:35 am) is the “Collide” Bible study class. “Collide” is the emphasis of our “vertical” relationship with the Lord inspiring our “horizontal” relationships with people.

7th-12th Grade Ministry – Summer Schedule

ReFill: Every Wednesday night, the 7-12th grade students meet at Grace from 6:30-8:30 pm. After playing, worshipping and fellowshipping together for the first half of the time, the students will engage with the Lord and one another in “Life Group” Bible studies by grade and gender, guided by their adult leaders.  Visit the Life Groups sub-page for more information.

Splash: From 9:05-9:45 am each Sunday morning at Grace, “Splash” is time of fellowship in the loft (Room 203) for 7th-12th graders.

Collide: Immediately following Splash each Sunday, from 9:45 to 10:35 am in the loft (Room 201), there is a group Bible study that emphasizes the “collision” between our vertical relationship (with the Lord) and horizontal relationships (with people). Visit the Collide sub-page for more information.

Rec Day: During the summer on Mondays (2-4 pm) from June 5-August 14, students meet each week at the North Liberty Community Center for various activities such as swimming, basketball, and outdoor games.  Visit the Fellowship sub-page for more information.

Redemption Day: During the summer on Thursdays (2-4 pm) from June 1-August 17, students meet each week at Grace (in the East Wing) for playing Redemption: a Bible-based strategy game. New and veteran players alike are welcome!  Visit the Fellowship sub-page for more information.

Special Events: Many special events are planned throughout the summer, including Family Fun Nights, a Cedar Rapids Kernels game, and two Lock-Ins (one for guys and one for girls). Please visit the Grace Calendar for dates and details.

Counseling and mentoring: Biblical counseling is available for any student in need, and 1-to-1 mentoring is encouraged for all students who desire to grow in their knowledge of the Lord and how to live out Christianity practically in their lives. Visit the Discipleship page for more information, as well as the Need Counseling? section of our church website.
